Nice Work If You Can Get It star Matthew Broderick will serve as the host of the Williamstown Theatre Festival’s 2012 benefit. As previously announced, the evening will feature performances by Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike star David Hyde Pierce, Nice Work’s Kelli O’Hara and her husband, singer-songwriter Greg Naughton, Malcolm Gets (Ten Cents a Dance), Lauren Molina (Marry Me a Little) and Steven Pasquale (Far From Heaven). The event will take place on November 18 at New York's Edison Ballroom.
The benefit will honor legendary Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning author and director Abe Burrows, who wrote the books for Guys and Dolls, Can-Can and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. The benefit will also include a live auction.
Broderick earned Tony Awards for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Brighton Beach Memoirs, and an additional nomination for The Producers. His film and TV credits include Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, The Lion King, Glory, Godzilla and most recently, Modern Family. Broderick currently stars as Jimmy Winter in Nice Work at the Imperial Theatre.
